Very Rare 7/8″ Gutta Percha w/ Attractive Black, Red & Yellow Spiderweb Pattern, a strikingly appealing pattern with great color contrast. These marbles were used in solitaire and parlor games and are very hard to find and and highly sought after, dating from the mid 1800’s.  They originated from the UK’s Gutta Percha Company and are made from the sap of a tree native to SE Asia, a little of which can be seen at one pole, overlaid with a polymer like design. Very Bold & Striking design. Surface folds and irregularities are normal and typical.  Mint condition.
