Very Rare Checkerboard China – unglazed. Strong colors and pattern with a faded area. These are ultra-rare and consistently fetch $1,500 apiece for mint examples in auction or in private sales (in fact I have sold more than one for that amount from my personal collection). Recently an well known Auction sold a smaller one (23/32″) for that amount or more, considering buyers fees. No buyer’s fees here. Great opportunity to own a rare marble at a bargain until that mint example comes along.
