Rare Single Pontil Gutta Percha w/ Black, Red & Yellow Spiderweb Pattern. Pontil is a weakly used term, most have 2 crimped seams at the ends, this one has just one like some of the ultra-rare large ones do!  These marbles are very hard to find and and highly sought after, dating from the mid to late 1800’s and made from a polymer material from the sap of a tree native to Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Very Bold & Striking design from a Paper Mache transfer. Surface folds and irregularities are normal and typical.  No play damage noted.
