13/16″ Rare 4-Color Gutta Percha Flame in Flawless Condition

Rare Gutta Percha marble from the mid 1800’s with an awesome 4-color Flame Pattern of Black, Yellow, Green & Red. One of the best in Wet Mint surface condition. Typically these dull easily, this one is pristine flawless condition.  These rare marbles were primarily made with in inner resin core of sap from the tropical Percha Tree native to Southeast Asia and the wild patterns were created in a paper mache transfer process of polymer resin.  Gutta Percha marbles are light weight and were likely a gameboard marble rather than meant for shooting marbles.  Information suggests they were primarily produced in England and New Zealand -Circa 1850-1870.  Very Hard to Find and one of the earliest marbles!
