11/16″ Peppermint Swirl w/ Wide Bold Blue & 3 Red Stripes. Thought to be constructed around 1876 to commemorate the US Centennial. This was likely first mass produced type and is when German glass marble markers transitioned from faceted finished pontils to leaving them rough in order to speed up production. Attractive and Mint Condition.
